The Piñata Project

The Piñata Project is a durational performance installation of a piñata game, where the blindfolded player is a ‘blindfolded’ robotic arm. Every day during its exhibition at specific times, a UR10 robotic arm ‘plays’—inviting viewers to witness a visually striking, humorous, and thought provoking scenario: a robot arm ‘blindly’ searching a delimited space to smash open a hanging piñata—the candied contents of which it cannot consume.
